AFFILIATE CLUBS
PURPOSE: The Affiliate Clubs Committee maintains coordination with affiliate clubs.
TASKS:
1. Receive and send correspondence to affiliate clubs regarding the Board of the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America's consideration and approval/denial of an affiliate club's proposed date and site of its annual specialty.
2. Initiate other correspondence with affiliate clubs as directed by the PWCCA Board of Directors.
ORACLE:
1. 7-I, 4/20/85, pg. 3: M/S/C that the PWCCA continue with its current policy of supporting the affiliate clubs by taking out ads in their specialty catalogs.
2. 7-Y, 9/10/96, pg. 1,2: M/S/C the recommendations of the Affiliate Club Status Committee be implemented as follows:
A) A non-refundable application fee will be charged to Specialty Clubs applying
for Affiliate status.
B) Letters should be written by the Corresponding Secretary to clubs whose files
are incomplete requesting the missing information be sent to the Recording Secretary
within 30 days.
C) Annual reporting requirements for Affiliates will be increased to include
name, address and phone number of club secretary, PWCCA Representative, Rescue
contact, Talebearers column writer, "Helpful" person, date of annual
elections, current membership, officers and board list, and any changes to constitution,
bylaws, or code of ethics.
D) Copies of all board and general meeting minutes for 24 months prior to application
for Affiliate status must be submitted for new clubs applying. M/S/C the non-refundable
application fee for clubs applying for Affiliate status is set at $25.00. M/S/C
the Affiliate Club Status Committee be dissolved.
3. 14-N, 9/9/97, pg. 2: M/S/C Affiliate Clubs will be listed on the PWCCA Web Page with a name, address & phone number of the person to contact concerning membership in that Affiliate club.
4. 15-C, 4/15/98, pg. 2: Tim Mathiesen moved that beginning with the 2001
Specialties, affiliate and regional clubs must submit an annual request for
approval of their Specialty date. Applications must be received by the Corresponding
Secretary before the PWCCA annual meeting, two years prior to the proposed Specialty
date. Names of Sweepstakes, breed and obedience judges
should be submitted at same time for informational purposes. Authority for approval
of dates rests with the board of directors. Authority to approve established
Specialty dates for affiliate and regional clubs may be delegated to the Corresponding
Secretary. The full Board of Directors must approve a club's
first Specialty or a change in an established date. Affiliate and regional clubs
should seek preliminary date approval from the PWCCA as early as possible in
their planning process to assure establishing a non-conflicting date and to
promote goodwill with other affiliate and regional clubs. Second. Carried.

5. 17-K, 4/21/99, pg. 7: Sally Wynn moved that ORACLE 21-I be amended to give the Corresponding Secretary the authority to approve a club's change in the established date where the two-year advance request for approval is not possible. Second. Carried.
6. 17-L, 4/21/99, pg. 7: The Board recommended that affiliate clubs that have their specialties in conjunction with an all-breed show are also eligible for a PWCCA ad.
